Kabiro Shaped Who I Am

Hon. Maxwell Changilwa Amugune is a son of Kabiro — shaped by the mjengo community, the mama mbogas, and the everyday struggles of the people he has always lived among. Every rough road he has walked, every site worker he has spoken to, every mother he has listened to is his reason for running for MCA, Kabiro Ward, Dagoretti North, in the 2027 elections.

Maxwell is the founding voice of the Official Maxwell Changilwa Amugune Supporters Community and advocates for a safe Kabiro — Bila Political Brokers. He believes an MCA must be close to the people, like a mzee wa kijiji, not hidden behind gatekeepers and middlemen. For too long, vijana have struggled to get two hundred shillings from their MCA, believing it is an entitlement, while elders cannot focus on real development. That culture must change.

He has personally lived the healthcare crisis in Kabiro — nearly dying from food poisoning on a Sunday when every private hospital in the ward was closed and no emergency response was available. He has lost his phone to a motorbike snatcher right here in Kabiro. These are not statistics to Maxwell — they are the fire behind every pledge in his manifesto.

Born and Raised in Kabiro

Grew up in Kabiro Ward, walking the same unpaved roads, witnessing the same neglect, and feeling the same daily struggles as every resident. Kabiro did not just shape him — it became his mandate.

Community
Mjengo Community Member & Advocate

Connected deeply with Kabiro's construction worker community — the family that made him who he is. Began speaking out against exploitation, unsafe working conditions, and the absence of social protection for site workers across Nairobi.

Organizing
Grassroots Mobilizer

Organized Kabiro residents around shared challenges — insecurity, poor roads, lack of clean water, unequal bursary distribution, and absent healthcare. Championed free water initiatives that the current leadership later shut down.

Conviction
Lived Every Crisis He Fights Against
